After Allie and I went our seperate ways, I took Prince to the back to untack him. I led him up near his stall. I should of been in the cross-ties, but I was being lazy today. I took off my GPA helmet and SSG gloves and put them on the ground. I grabbed his leather halter and put it on my shoulder while I undid the bridle. There were white sweat marks where the straps where. I really had to hose him down. I slipped the halter over his ears and clipped it on. I tied the lead rope to one of the bars in the stall window. I made sure it was nice and tight before I went to take my Pessoa saddle off. I undid the girth on the left side, walked around to the right side and undid there, and placed the girth on top of the saddle. I lifted the saddle off of Prince's back and leaned it on the stall, pommel on the ground, so I didn't damage the tree of the saddle. I took the soaking wet saddle pad off of his back and took it to the pad dryer near the wash stall. I came back for my saddle, bridle and girth. I gathered up all my stuff and took it to the tack room. 'Man, this stuff really need a good cleaning and oiling. Ill ask Allie if she wants to have a tack cleaning pary!' I thought. I walked back to Prince, untied him and led him back to the wash stall. I clipped the cross-ties to his halter and reached for the hose. I turned the cold water on and sprayed his legs, slowly working my way up. The water dripping off of him was a nasty brown-ish color. It was disgusting. I decided to give him a bath, since we were there. I set the hose on the ground and reached for the shampoo. I took a damp sponge and poured the shampoo on it. I rubbed Prince everywhere, making sure I didn't miss anything. I was careful aound his eyes, making sure not to get anything in them. When I was done, I put the sponge in a bucket and hosed the suds off of Prince. He doesn't like it in the face, do I had to try to hold his head down. After that, I put mane and tail conditioner in. I squeegeed him off and led him to his stall. One of the stable hands must of cleaned his stall for me, 'cause I know I definetly didn't. I slipped off his halter and put his stall guard up. I was lucky Prince doesn't crib, since he like being able to see everything. If he did crib, I wouldn't be able to put the guard up. I pat Prince on the nose and stopped by Fly's, Rocky's, Lexi's, Zen's, Kiki's, Catch's, and LN's stalls to say goodnite.
