I walked him into the barn and back to the wash stall. I undid his bridle, slipped it over his ears, put his halter on, and clipped the cross ties. On my way into the tack room, I uncliped my helmet. In the tack room, I hung my bridle back up, took off my gloves and put them in my helmet, unzipped my half-chaps, and put all of that into my tack trunk.
When I came back out, Rocky was half asleep, leaning on the crossties to keep his head up. I came up and undid the girth on the left, then right side, and layed it ontop of my saddle. Then I slid the saddle off of his sweaty back with the bounce pad.
I put my saddle back on the rack and put the saddle cover on it and put the bounce pad in my trunk. Then i went back out to Rocky.
I went back out and took the wet pad off of his back and took it over to the pad/towel rack to hang it up to dry. I walked back to the wash stall and turned on the hose. I needed to hose Rocky off, after the workout I gave him. I first sprayed his legs, testing to make sure the pressure wasnt too hard and that the water wasnt too cold. Then i moved to his belly, back, hind quarters, then under his tail, where he had lathered up. I did the same on the other side.
After hosing Rocky off and squeegeeing all of the water off of him, I led him to his clean stall. I took of his halter and gave him another pat and a kiss. He had a flake of hay and a full water bucket waiting to greet him. I shut the stall door and was about to find Allie when I heard a grunt. And you know what, that little buger started to roll around in the clean shavings, all wet. 'Good thing I didn't turn him out in the dirt and dust' i thought to myself as a went to go find Allie.
